Package: bind9-host
Version: 1:9.17.19-3
Severity: normal
Hello, after update host command fails with:
---8<---
$ host example.com
host: error while loading shared libraries: libisc-9.17.19-3-Debian.so: cannot
open shared object file: No such file or directory
$ ldd /usr/bin/host | grep "not found"
libisc-9.17.19-3-Debian.so => not found
libdns-9.17.19-3-Debian.so => not found
libisccfg-9.17.19-3-Debian.so => not found
libirs-9.17.19-3-Debian.so => not found
libbind9-9.17.19-3-Debian.so => not found
--->8---
The issue seems to be it has "dep: bind9-libs (>= 1:9.17.19)".
bind9-dnsutils OTOH has "dep: bind9-libs (= 1:9.17.19-3)", exact
match. Upgrading bind9-libs (previously 1:9.17.19-1) makes host work
again, but that should have happened automatically by means of proper
dependency values. Easy fix I guess, just configure in same way than
dnsutils.
Cheers,
GSR
