I disagree with this assessment.  If the server is browseable by Windows
clients without error, and it can't be browsed by Samba, I see no reason to
think this is not a Samba bug.

Of course we should try to reproduce it with a current version of smbclient,
but I don't think the bug should be closed based on an assumption that it
won't be reproducible.
