OK, I figured it out. So this is really bizarre.The freshly downlaoded copy of app.js still does not match your md5. I get:53dc7e81f7db265b0e3860ec718a3e1e I get this for both the installed copy of app.js and the one I downloaded from the .deb package.
OK, disregard this, too. This is because the same file is getting me symlinked. I'm not very familiar with how these files get packaged. Amateur mistake.
