I don't know what failed, but to catch accidents like this I can dearly
recommend to always compare against previous release to ensure that
changes are as expected, by running this (e.g. just after lintian and
just before dput):
debdiff --wt ${OLD}_amd64.changes ${NEW}_amd64.changes | less -R
