Great! For the avoidance of doubt (I was just discussing that with Diederik), the final commit wasn't to pretend it should be uploaded as-is, but trying to match what I noticed in the git history (all patches get documented at once, in the end), and so that there would be some ready-to-use documentation about the change we're interested in.
