The sound fades out on the right channel on an AMD Family 17h HD Audio card. It takes 5 to 10 seconds to fade to complete silence. Sometimes it fades down to approx 80% instead of 0. Occasionally it fades in, back to 100%. It happens only when using headphones connected either to the headphones out on the laptop or to the headphones connector on an external monitor connected via HDMI. During the event the volume sliders on pavucontrol or alsamixer do not move. Also "pulseaudio -v" running in foreground does not show any log at that time. Moving the volume sliders only affects the left channel, unless the level is increased to a very high volume and it that case the right channel jumps back to normal. Stopping and restarting pulseaudio successfully reset the volume in few tests, but I'm not sure if this is a pulseaudio or snd_hda_intel kernel bug.
