Hi, I am not sure if any desktop login screen is active as no sound is
played just the boot beep from vmware player. After the system boots I
just login using ssh to check if things are running and this is how I
found that espeakup and pulseaudio are running. If anyone has a windows
10 pro 64 bits system vmware player 16 work station free they can test
this out. I had to go into the virtual machine settings under sound
card to tell the virtual machine to use the system's speakers on the
internal sound card as if I leave it at auto detect during the
installation at anytime the speech is lost but the installer is still
running but if I specify what sound device to use from my usage the
speech is not lost. Nick Gawronski

Pulseaudio is running? That's odd, I don't see how that could happen. So
you just boot the system, log-in through ssh, and there pulseaudio is
already running without having started anything? (no graphical session
and not even lightdm)
