When booting a 2.6.10 kernel with initrd, many error messages like this are produced:
ERROR: Removing 'amd74xx': Device or resource busy
Thats a known problem. Some locking within the kernel has been changed, and unloading of some ide modules has been disabled till the driver is migrated. AFAIK. Please take a look at the kernel mailing list.
The _real_ problem is that initrd simply loads all ide modules, instead of looking at the PCI IDs describing the installed hardware.
