I have multiple 8TB disks with a lot of files. I did some more testing and interestingly I can no longer reproduce the problem no matter how hard I try. I did do multiple tests before filing the bug to confirm it was consistently reproducible. So I'm not sure if an update or something else has changed. I have no objections to closing the bug as it is no longer an issue for me.
