Sorry for the delay in my answer, that mail was somewhat lost in my
email vault.

emms-source-file-directory-tree-function is set to
emms-source-file-directory-tree-internal and is set to correct
encoding (iso-latin-1).

Please let me know if I can be of any help in reproducing this.
