I dug a little bit more on this front and I am affected by this: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=860040 which then made the polkit agent quit on start.I have not tested yet if removing hidepid would be sufficient but polkit's behavior is really annoying.
