do you have an assumption when maximilian will add cryptroot suport to
initramfs? if that doesn't take too long, i could simply wait until he
uploaded a fixed version. that would at least ensure that a working
version is in sid when cryptsetup with initramfs support enters sid.

I have no idea, he seems to work in bursts, so suddenly 5 bugs get fixed and then silence for a week....I just sent him a nag-email in private, so I'll hopefully get some feedback soon.

i could also conflict with any initramfs version prior to the fixed one,
but i don't like that idea. as you said, it's not very likely that
anyone tries cryptroot support of initramfs without reading about it
first.

I think we should/could upload it without the fixed initramfs, and if it indeed does break something, we can take action. It's not called unstable for no reason now is it? :)
