Dear Maintainer,

I realize that rename.ul was removed because of #926637, but I think
that action was unnecessary. I believe the reporter of that bug wanted
rename.ul to be installed as an alternative for rename. Although you
provided a good reason for why this should not be done, I don't think
that's a reason to remove rename.ul entirely.

Personally, rename.ul was my rename of choice because of its simplicity,
and I was disappointed to see it go. I would appreciate it if you would
consider providing rename.ul in util-linux again.

Also, if you'd rather not provide rename.ul in util-linux, you might
consider building a separate binary package which provides rename.ul
from the util-linux source package. Then you might have the util-linux
binary package Suggest or Recommend rename.ul.

Thanks,
Asher
