Package: trousers Version: 0.3.14+fixed1-1 Severity: normal Tags: upstream Dear maintainer,
Hello, I have trousers + tpmtools installed in initramfs. If I am using network inside of the initramfs and dns servers configured in resolf.conf are available, everything works fine. When the network is not configured (no IP, but mainly no DNS nameservers exist in resolv.conf or they exist but they are not reachable) the tcsd crashes with segfault after tpm_ command is executed. (i.e. tpm_nvinfo -n displays result then tcsd crashes so subsequent commands can't be executed) When I disable 'hosts: dns' in /etc/nsswitch.conf and I keep just 'hosts: files' option only over there, it works. I can make a workaround and disable dns in nsswitch when the network (dns servers) is not available but primarily the tcsd shoud not crash. -- System Information: Debian Release: 10.4 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.19.0-9-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_US:en (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages trousers depends on: ii adduser 3.118 ii libc6 2.28-10 ii libssl1.1 1.1.1d-0+deb10u3 ii lsb-base 10.2019051400 trousers recommends no packages. trousers suggests no packages. -- Configuration Files: default tcsd config -- no debconf information
