Hello, I reproduced bug #337692 trying to build osgPlanet (from www.ossim.org) on unstable. I tried upgrading libx11-dev, but this didn't pull a new x-dev, even though I only had a very old version (4.3.0.dfsg.1-6). Later on, upgrading x-dev to 6.9.0.dfsg.1-6 solved the problem. I wish to insist that this is no more a bug in experimental now. A quick google search on '_X_SENTINEL debian' shows that many people waisted their time with this bug. If it is really a simple depends, it should be fixed ASAP.
