I think we switched to ‘python3 -m sphinx’ to make sure that the Python 3 version is always used, not the Python 2 one: https://lists.debian.org/debian-python/2018/08/msg00076.html As Sphinx no longer supports Python 3, I think this can be safely reverted. -- Dmitry Shachnev
