There is small error:

directive in /etc/apache2/conf.d/phpbb2.conf at line 2 will probably never
match because it overlaps an earlier Alias.
This can be fixed by exchanging the first two lines, like this (the
fix):
Alias /phpbb/images/avatars /var/lib/phpbb2/avatars
Alias /phpbb /usr/share/phpbb2/site
