Package: ippusbxd Version: 1.34-2 Severity: wishlist
An installed ippusbxd can be started by a user with root privileges with 'ippusbxd'. The ippusbxd package contains /usr/share/doc/ippusbxd/examples/ippusbxd@.service Having the package installation put this file in /lib/systemd/system/ should give automatic access to IPP-over-USB printers when the printer is plugged in. This would put a modern USB-connected printer on the same par as a network-connected printer. Regards, Brian.
