Hi! A user reported us on IRC of this bug, and it happens to be solved by upstream already in <https://codereview.qt-project.org/c/qt/qtbase/+/254187/> According to the patch: xcb_timestamp_t is a 32-bit unsigned value in miliseconds, so it wraps after 49.7 days. When it happens, QXcbConnection::m_time stops updating and copy & paste in an application would not work until the application is restarted. This patch detects the timer wrap and allows m_time to wrap too. The fix was verified in KDE desktop with applications running for 51 days. -- System Information: Debian Release: bullseye/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (990, 'unstable'), (500, 'unstable-debug'), (500, 'testing-debug'), (500, 'buildd-unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (1, 'experimental-debug'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386, arm64, armhf Kernel: Linux 5.6.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=es_AR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=es_AR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=es_AR:es (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled
