Hi,

recently you applied the Italian po file from this bug to the new eject git
repo at salsa:
https://salsa.debian.org/debian/eject/-/commit/e4b2394dc2f4a72d0df3f84596fd63c8a6890941

That was however not done correctly:
the file is the italian program translation, but it was inserted into
../debian/po/it.po which is the translation file for the debian-installer.

You can easily control that, if you check the number of contained strings:
the program translation has 61 strings, while the debian-installer translation
has only 1 string!
As it is now, the Italian translation will not work!

Moreover, there are debian patches under ../debian/patches/ which contains
a patch named '1000-translations.patch'.
That patch already has the italian translation file integrated (however in an
older version from 2009-06-23 21:51+0200).

So you will need to change your workflow, to deal with ../debian/patches,
to get changings from the Debian site into the upstream source.
