Package: xmms Version: 1.2.10+cvs20050809-5 Followup-For: Bug #329921 Hi, it seems that xmms still is broken w.r.t. UTF-8: I have some directories whose names are encoded in latin-1, while LANG is set to de_DE.UTF-8.
I still see that effect that is described in the original bug report. Is there any chance that this will be fixed? PS: As a work-around, one can set LANG=C while starting xmms. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.16-1-k7 Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages xmms depends on: ii libc6 2.3.6-5 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libglib1.2 1.2.10-10.1 The GLib library of C routines ii libgtk1.2 1.2.10-18 The GIMP Toolkit set of widgets fo ii libice6 6.9.0.dfsg.1-6 Inter-Client Exchange library ii libsm6 6.9.0.dfsg.1-6 X Window System Session Management ii libssl0.9.8 0.9.8a-8 SSL shared libraries ii libx11-6 6.9.0.dfsg.1-6 X Window System protocol client li ii libxext6 6.9.0.dfsg.1-6 X Window System miscellaneous exte ii libxi6 6.9.0.dfsg.1-6 X Window System Input extension li ii libxxf86vm1 6.9.0.dfsg.1-6 X Video Mode selection library Versions of packages xmms recommends: ii libasound2 1.0.10-2 ALSA library ii libaudiofile0 0.2.6-6 Open-source version of SGI's audio ii libesd0 0.2.36-3 Enlightened Sound Daemon - Shared ii libgl1-mesa-glx [libgl1] 6.4.1-0.4 A free implementation of the OpenG ii libmikmod2 3.1.11-a-6 A portable sound library ii libogg0 1.1.3-2 Ogg Bitstream Library ii libvorbis0a 1.1.2-1 The Vorbis General Audio Compressi ii libvorbisfile3 1.1.2-1 The Vorbis General Audio Compressi ii unzip 5.52-7 De-archiver for .zip files ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3-11 compression library - runtime -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
