I set a week of time for an *answer*, not to do the actual work.

i think i did not see what you think about the removal of jack: is it
worth to keep a 15 years old application in debian (which transitively
keeps in the archive several python2 packages, that could be dropped
as soon as jack is removed)? are you planning on porting it to python3
(i googled if a port was already available but i couldnt find any)? if
so, did you start already? where can we track progress?
