Hey Gordon, ipython-py2 is the last reverse dependency (in testing, non RC-buggy) of matplotlib. It looks like the package only declares a build-depend on mpl, while the binary packages dont. Do you think it would be possible to remove that build-depends (my impression is that it wouldnt diminish much the functionalities, as the bin packages are not depending on it, so it's probably a matter of documentation or tests?) so that i can remove the python2 version of matplotlib from Debian? that in turn would allow many other packages to be removed as well.
