Shouldn't this discussion be in bug #922067 (and not Cc-ed to me - I have no interest in winpdb beyond it having been a blocker for a wxpython transition over 5 years ago)?
This bug was providing the debdiff for an NMU I did back then. There's
been a maintainer upload since (1.4.8-3) which incorporated my changes
but missed closing this bug, which Scott recently spotted and tidied up.
