Although it can become a bit laggy and/or slow, I am glad to see that crash is no longer reproducible in the stable branch (nemo-3.8.5-1). Tried aggressive stuff, like folders with hundreds of files, thumnails enabled in heavy files, and tried to move many files from folder to folder by dragging and dropping, or cutting and pasting. Which was/is the crash formula for old stable, consolidating hundreds of files from many folders, into a single folder with thousands of files, was impossible. No more crashes for me. Happy holidays.
