Package: xpdf-utils Version: 3.01-7 Severity: normal Hello,
I'm having a problem with pdftops, when I try to convert a vietnamese file to postscript. The pdf file shows fine with xpdf, evince, etc. After converting the file to postscript, the text in the first column of the document is badly placed, and there are some wrongly replaced characters. As a consequense cups won't print the file correctly. Converting the file to ps with evince says something like: (evince:28181): GnomePrintCupsPlugin-WARNING **: iconv does not support ppd character encoding: MacStandard, trying CSISOLatin1 Since the file is about 6MB, it's available from: http://gnuservers.com.ar/~maxy/xpdf-utils/test.pdf -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers proposed-updates APT policy: (500, 'proposed-updates'), (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.15-cifs-686 Locale: LANG=es_AR, LC_CTYPE=es_AR (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Versions of packages xpdf-utils depends on: ii libc6 2.3.6-3 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libgcc1 1:4.0.3-1 GCC support library ii libpaper1 1.1.14-5 Library for handling paper charact ii libstdc++6 4.0.3-1 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii xpdf-common 3.01-7 Portable Document Format (PDF) sui xpdf-utils recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
