The options in gnome-volume-properties are really non-obvious for regular user. Some documentation should be provided to explain that (maybe available through yelp ?). For instance, difference between "removable drives" which can be "hot-plugged" (1st option) and "removable media" (2nd option) are not clear for most users. Maybe explaining with mention or icons of USB keys and CD/DVDs would help ? If not improved in the GUI, at least something a bit more detailed in the manpage or in the readme would definitely help.
