Package: curl Version: 7.64.0-4 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
after upgrading from stretch to buster, some scripts using cURL wwere failing. I think I traced it down to the curl bug 3676: https://github.com/curl/curl/issues/3676 Cookies from a cookie file are not sent to the host when the host is a dotless hostname, i.e. http://testhost/ The bug is fixed upstream but the change appears to not have made it into the Debian build. I would be great if the fix could be incorporated into Debian stable. -- System Information: Debian Release: 10.1 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.19.0-6-amd64 (SMP w/6 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages curl depends on: ii libc6 2.28-10 ii libcurl4 7.64.0-4 ii zlib1g 1:1.2.11.dfsg-1 curl recommends no packages. curl suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
