Package: zulupolkit
Version: 5.4.0-3
Severity: important
File: /usr/bin/zuluPolkit
Dear Maintainer,
As previously reported in Bug #910410, the zulupolkit does not seem to
work as expected. A normal user cannot run zulucrypt without knowledge
of the root password. As mentioned before, this behaviour is the reason
that upstream still maintains a binary package for debian. [1]
I have checked the functionality of all relevant zulucrypt packages
available from clean installations of buster/stable, bullseye/testing
and sid/unstable. I can confirm that this bug prevails even in the more
recent versions 5.5 and 5.6. Hence, I am setting severity to important.
The described issue renders the whole package unusable for normal users
even when a functionality doesn't specifically require root.
Thanks
