Package: dma Version: 0.11-1+deb10u1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
In fixing #741904 in the config script, reading SMARTHOST from /etc/dma/dma.conf now fails if there is both a commented line for SMARTHOST and also a line setting the value. I'm not sure that there is any value in detecting a commented line in /etc/dma/dma.conf and then sticking that value into the debconf database for later use, so ignoring commented values is perhaps the simplest route. (Incidentally the failure mode of this is truly horrible; db_set in the config script just returns 128 because it doesn't like the multiline value that has been fed to it; exiting 128 causes the config script to exit without any hint as to what has happened.) cheers Stuart -- System Information: Debian Release: 10.1 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (550, 'stable-updates'), (550, 'proposed-updates'), (550, 'stable'), (500, 'stable-debug'), (500, 'stable'), (60, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.19.0-5-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_AU.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_AU.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_AU:en (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages dma depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.71 ii libc6 2.28-10 ii libssl1.1 1.1.1c-1 ii ucf 3.0038+nmu1 dma recommends no packages. dma suggests no packages. -- Configuration Files: /etc/dma/auth.conf [Errno 13] Permission denied: '/etc/dma/auth.conf' -- debconf information excluded
