ifdata seems to return the ip address reversed, see:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ ifdata  -pa eth0
51.0.168.192
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ ifdata  -pn eth0
0.255.255.255


note that my architecture is PowerPC, I cannot do the test now on Intel.
