Hi
Yeah, I think too, that the problem is with the kio_ftp
7913 ? S 0:00 kio_ftp [kdeinit] ftp /tmp/ksocket-gyuri/klauncherNCDBpb.slave-socket /tmp/ksocket-gyuri/krusadercqZGda.slave-socket
7921 ? S 0:00 kio_ftp [kdeinit] ftp /tmp/ksocket-gyuri/klauncherNCDBpb.slave-socket /tmp/ksocket-gyuri/krusader7RfeCb.slave-socket
7940 ? S 0:00 kio_ftp [kdeinit] ftp /tmp/ksocket-gyuri/klauncherNCDBpb.slave-socket /tmp/ksocket-gyuri/krusadernLicga.slave-socket
7948 ? S 0:00 kio_ftp [kdeinit] ftp /tmp/ksocket-gyuri/klauncherNCDBpb.slave-socket /tmp/ksocket-gyuri/krusader2tmNIb.slave-socket
Krusaders ftp works, but after five minute of usage as you see there are several processes which needs to be killed, because they went Krusader crazy.
I am prety sure that kio works fine on a good conection, but if the conection is not very stable then it is unusable.
If Midnight commander notices that the comunication is down for a second then it continues after a second.
Thanks that you forwarded this to the kde development team. (KDE 3.5.1)
Cheers
Bakos György
