Looking lame is not a real reason IMO, and if anything the bug is in the kernel for not considering BSD without advertising a tainting license. Since the whole mppe package is becoming moot with the inclusion of mppe in the latest kernels I don't think it even warrants looking at this issue. I'm setting severity to minor and intend to just ignore it, if anyone is interested to research into this topic, feel free. Patches are always welcome, as well as NMUs.
