Hi, Is there going to be an ACK or NACK decision on this before the buster release?
As an outsider I understand the advantages of Wayland, but I am concerned about the implications of Wayland as default at this point to a "stable" release. Having the whole session and apps lost if the shell crashes is a large regression compared to X11. Other issues such as screen-sharing not working will appear odd to users when it worked before (there is work upstream here so hopefully this will be fixed for the next stable release). And there also seem to be other known issues noted in previous comments such as drag and drop causing crashes and accessibility issues etc. Andrew
