To test flash-kernel's boot.scr, you'll need to remove or disable checking for extlinux.conf, since that comes before loading the boot.scr that flash-kernel produces. From the u-boot prompt unset the the variable that checks for extlinux: setenv scan_dev_for_extlinux false Alternately, remove /boot/extlinux/extlinux.conf and reboot. live well, vagrant
