I just tried the same thing on another machine running stretch. This machine uses plain stretch, no backports for NM:
- Connection doese not work when imported via gui. - Connection does work when imported via nmcli. (nmcli connection import type openvpn file tuxgang_openVPN.ovpn) - However, in difference to the first machine, I am not forced to be root when importing via nmcli. This may be caused by different group memberships on the machines. But I am member in adm, netdev, and dip on both. Regards, Jürgen
