the uimaj-adapter-soap is ignored (not built) in debian/libuima-core-java.poms, therefore the symlink should not be placed at all. Solution: remove the following line from debian/uima-utils.links: /usr/share/java/uimaj-adapter-soap.jar /usr/share/uima/lib/uima-adapter-soap.jar Best, Andrius
