As your use case is a valid one indeed. But I would rather ship a
secure-by-default configuration.

Protection against "evil plugins" isn't done easily, but we should aim to
fool-proof against "buggy" plugins.
I agree that we cannot do everything, but if it catches 80% of the
mistakes, it feels a good idea.
