pcmciautils do IIRC only work with >= 2.5.16. But not so sure on that
one.
2.6.14 won't work because of pcmcia changes that are not reflected in
gpib. 2.6.13 was IIRC the first kernel that introduced these changes.

May well be. I'd like to hear about that one. gpib should work with
kernels around 2.6.10 - 2.6.12. A narrow range. I know ;-(

I tested it today on a 2.6.12 kernel. Worked fine. even pcmcia.
