Thanks for the report. I'm hoping that gniibe (cc'ed) can shed more light on this by asking you for clearer debugging info. He's our strongest expert on this stuff. It looks from your debugging output like you're intermixing scdaemon with pcsclite or possibly pcscd. It's possible that two daemons are in contention for the device. Can you tell whether that might be the case on your system? --dkg
