There is no way to port to GTK+3 without breaking backward compatibility. We value backward compatibility. Some time not that long ago Debian was *the* distribution which supported the widest range of software. Now you are removing GTK+2 when Fedora still offers GTK+1? This is bat shit crazy. There will be probably GTK+5 released before we would be able to port to GTK+3. GTK+2 is *the* *stable* *version*. No one who does actual software development can afford to spend 3/4 of time and effort constantly porting to some new GTK+ nonsense and deal with neverending deprecations.
