Hi all,
I am aware that keeping "libsane" name with "Provides: libsane1" is under
consideration.
In case that is not finally decided and current status is preserved, should
not sane-backends provide a libsane transitional package? Something like
Package: libsane
Section: oldlibs
Priority: extra
Architecture: all
Depends:
libsane1,
${misc:Depends}
Description: Transitional package for easier upgrade to libsane1
This is a dummy transitional package to smooth upgrade to libsane1.
.
It can be safely removed afterwards.
