Package: pypi2deb
Version: 2.20180318
Severity: grave
File: /usr/share/pypi2deb/py2dsp
Running py2dsp on Debian buster completely fails in my tests right
now:
$ py2dsp internetarchive
W: py2dsp pypi:54: cannot download internetarchive None details from PyPI:
ContentTypeError("0, message='Attempt to decode JSON with unexpected mimetype:
text/html; charset=utf-8'",)
E: py2dsp py2dsp:57: invalid name: internetarchive
$ py2dsp jinja2
W: py2dsp pypi:54: cannot download jinja2 None details from PyPI:
ContentTypeError("0, message='Attempt to decode JSON with unexpected mimetype:
text/html; charset=utf-8'",)
E: py2dsp py2dsp:57: invalid name: jinja2
The justification for the severity is the "unusable by most or all
users".
I suspect this is because of changes on PyPI's side. In fact, I
believe this might be fixed upstream: the GitHub repo has a newer
version but it is not in Debian right now.
