I would say the opposite, please implement this ASAP so that we increase compliance of our packages with the Debian Perl policy and so that maintainers don't get annoyed by lintian flagging out the problem. We currently have a non uniform behaviour in the archive (contrary to Python where the helpers are already rewriting the shebang) and whatever the outcome of the decision in #906901, we will be better off with this feature implemented (it can be trivially switched to rewrite to another value).
