I suspect that sid is trying to use some /usr/share/gnome-menu and
sarge is using /usr/lib/gnome-menu or something.  In the case of
/usr/{lib,share}/menu, the location is chosen at compiletime, and (I
guess) both locations are (presently) checked at runtime.
