Yup, I have a patch for most of the bugs, at:

#270899 is not fixed by that patch, though.

BTW; Matej suggests that vcg is likely going to be removed from the
archive unless someone adopts it.  I think its interesting software,
but I don't consider myself a user, or a prospective maintainer.
