Yeah, it's a pity that the bug has not been mentioned in the changelog. I've 
found a reference to it in the forums. I suppose, the fix is the following 
commit, though I haven't tested this patch alone. I upgraded stright to 
3.3.1+svn

*.db's are used for storing code completion hints for external libraries.
They are stored at ~/.kde/share/apps/kdevcppsupport/pcs/

I built debs using debian/ from 3.3.0-2 Actually, it was pretty easy and 
strightforward.
