So you're using a more-or-less backport, nothing officially supported.
Trust me, this will not stop me from trying to help, it just tells me to
look into some other corners as well.

in your original bug report was the only sign about this, and honestly I
didn't notice. Also, this would have helped in another way: Your report
was quite famliar but I didn't remember why. Solution: This happened
when I attempted to create a stretch backport and saw the same problem.
