When emacs is used in text mode (e.g. by calling `emacs -nw`) there are serious
rendering errors when using the Taiwanese locale zh_TW.UTF-8. This can be most
easily seen, when emacs is started with multiple windows showing files, that get
syntax highlighting:
emacs -nw file1.c file2.c
I would expect the vertical window separating line in the center of the screen
to be straight, but it isn't. In many rows the | symbol is incorrectly placed
several columns moved to the left of the screen. This renders emacs in text mode
unusable on this locale.
Note: using the Chinese locale zh_CN.UTF-8 rendering is correct.
