The bug was reported against 1:2.3.16-1 and closed in the same 1:2.3.16-1 version which confused the BTS (cf. the version graph in the web interface). As I don't know enough about the bug itself, I'm not changing anything; but something needs to be done as this will block the migration of the new upload to testing.
